Sonic’s First Movie Trailer Hypes up the Internet for All the Wrong Reasons

We’ve known about the Sonic Movie for years now. We’ve known about Sonic’s… intriguing design for a few months. Now we finally get to see what the final product looks like. Check out the trailer and my video impressions below the break. Before we do let’s do some analysis. It seems so many people have responded to the trailer with great negativity and at the time of writing this article the trailer is Trending #1 on Youtube and has received over 13 million views in one day.

Everyone has been making reaction videos for this trailer and this my readers is why this trailer is super effective. I personally wanted to see the Sonic film long before we got this trailer but now I want to see it more than ever! This trailer is getting a ton of attention and hyping up internet users for all the wrong reasons.

The low quality of the trailer, its now ever apparent infamy and Sonic’s fame gives me, as well as other viewers mixed vibes. The movie looks awful but no one can shut up about it. People keep saying they want to see it just out of spite and I’m well into that category. What do you all think? Will you go see this film? How do you think it will do critically and financially? Let me know down below!

Nintendo Now Experiments with VR With Labo!

Does anyone remember Nintendo Labo? The cardboard arts and crafts accessories that you could plug your switch into it and play little mini games? Well, Nintendo is bringing the cardboard back but this time for a more ambitious purpose, Virtual Reality. While back in the day Nintendo had stated they had no interest in developing a project for VR, they never discounted the idea of one day making VR games.

While the games for Labo VR may not be as in-depth as other VR games, like Skyrim VR or Resident Evil 7, the prospect of the Labo kit having VR elements to it I feel makes this kit more worth purchasing than the previous ones: it also helps that all kits together only cost about 80 dollars together. There are multiple kits available for purchase:

Nintendo Labo: VR Kit: Available at a suggested retail price of $79.99, the complete Nintendo Labo: VR Kit includes the Nintendo Switch software and materials to build all six Toy-Con projects – the Toy-Con VR Goggles, Toy-Con Blaster, Toy-Con Camera, Toy-Con Bird, Toy-Con Wind Pedal and Toy-Con Elephant – as well as a Screen Holder and Safety Cap. It’s a good option for kids and families who want to dive in to the full experience.

Nintendo Labo: VR Kit – Starter Set + Blaster: Available at a suggested retail price of only $39.99, the Starter Set includes the Nintendo Switch software, plus all the components to build the Toy-Con VR Goggles and Toy-Con Blaster, as well as the Screen Holder and Safety Cap. The Starter Set is a great entry point into the world of Nintendo Labo VR.

  • VR Goggles – allows you to see imaginary fantastical worlds and real-world locations.
  • Wind Pedal
  • Camera – allows you to play a Pokémon Snap type game, (Please re-release the game for this peripheral, please!)
  • Elephant
  • Bird – allows you to see the world while flying!
  • Blaster – shoot down aliens with the blaster.

So yeah, if you’re expecting to play Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey with the Labo VR, you won’t be seeing any of that here, maybe in the future. I probably will buy this set just to see how well the VR works with this setup. Here’s to hoping that this experiment is worth the wait and that Nintendo expands on this concept in the future.

The VR sets are expected to release April 12th in North America and the UK.

New Pokémon Game: Sword and Shield

Greetings to all my readers, long time no see!

A couple of days ago we got a trailer for the latest generation of Pokémon games. A lovely duo of games exclusive for the Nintendo Switch: Sword and Shield. With each new Pokemon game comes a new trio of Staters, a new region, and a semi-new art style. Wanna see what the game has to offer? Check out the video down below to see what we know about Pokémon: Sword and Shield and get my opinions. Also, the pokemon you see me holding in the thumbnail is the new fire starter Scorbunny. I’m most likely gonna choose him HAH. Let me know down in the comments what you think of these new announcements.

On top of that, I roast the starter designs. Gotta love/hate them.

Metroid Prime 4’s History and Reboot

Hello to all who still follow this website! I have returned to make a new video and article. Sorry for taking so long but I felt this topic needed to be discussed. Today I’ll be writing about the latest news involving the next installment in the Metroid franchise: Metroid Prime 4.

Metroid Prime 4 was announced at E3 2017 and was meant to be released either this year or in 2020. But recently it has been announced that the game had halted in production and would be restarted with the team that created the Prime series, Retro Studios. Why did this new development occur and what can we expect from the Metroid Series from here on out? Why was Retro Studios not considered to develop MP4, to begin with? Please watch the video below.

Hello my normies! I played the newly released Mega Man 11 demo on Nintendo switch! It’s of course free and a lot of fun! Check out the video below to get more details!

Also unlike my other posts I’m gonna try to do some actual journalism here. Along side this demo we got the reveal of two new robot masters: Impact Man and Bounce Man. In fact in the demo you can use Impact Man’s weapon: the Pile Driver. It’s Block Man’s weakness.

Bounce Man is the large round childish guy that of course bounces around and tries to punch you. Impact Man is a construction type robot that is literally trying to nail you! Check them out in the PS4 trailer down below.

Sony’s “NO Crossplatform Policy” and Nintendo’s Counter-Marketing

A lot of news came out over the past couple of weeks involving Sony not allowing Fortnite players to transfer their data over to the Switch. This bled into the issue of Sony not allowing crossplatform play with their competition. In response Nintendo and Microsoft made a video on their channel to counter this drama. Watch as I go over the facts and react to Nintendo’s video.
